About Me

I have a first-class Licentiate degree in Chinese medicine from the renowned City College of Acupuncture. This three year Licentiate involved intensive training in Chinese and Western medicine, as well as 400 clinical hours working alongside some of the UK’s most experienced acupuncturists. I also hold a BA from Oxford in Human Sciences.

I am a fully insured member of The British Acupuncture Council, the only regulatory body for acupuncture accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I adhere to the highest standards of safety and professional conduct and undertake continued professional development and supervision.

I am also currently working as an assistant clinician at the City College of Acupuncture in London.

My story

I initially qualified as a solicitor but found this a stressful career and decided to become a professional hand embroiderer at the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace. It was during this other needle-related career that I first experienced the positive benefits of acupuncture. The fine needlework gave me eye pain and acupuncture provided great pain relief and has been an amazing health support ever since. I also attribute acupuncture to improving my fertility. As a teenager I had only two heavy periods a year and was put on the contraceptive pill to regulate my hormones. When trying to get pregnant, acupuncture helped to regulate my periods to every 10 weeks and I was able to naturally conceive within 8 months. I am now lucky to have two gorgeous sons.

After this incredibly positive experience of acupuncture for optimizing my own health, I have become passionate and dedicated to learning traditional Chinese acupuncture to help others.
